From Workshop to Workflow: How Taylor Logistics Built an AI-Powered Labor Management System

Oct 20, 2026

When Noelle Dalton from Taylor Logistics Inc. attended Goering Center for Family and Private Business’s AI Workshop Series for Sales and Customer Service, she came looking for new perspectives on AI applications within her business. What she found was far more concrete: a framework for identifying immediate, high-impact opportunities to drive innovation.

The Workshop Insight

The full day at Goering was valuable, with different speakers bringing fresh perspectives on AI across industries. For Noelle, one particular session stood out: the interactive AI Opportunity Workshop facilitated by Red Hawk Technologies. That’s where the breakthrough moment happened.

“The interactive element at the end with the decision matrix was the best thing from the class for me,” Noelle shared after the event. “It was a huge takeaway.”

That framework gave her something tangible to work with. She didn’t let the insights stay in a notebook. Instead, she brought the exercise directly back to Taylor’s senior leadership team, by using the participant guide from the workshop and the DIY AI Opportunity download offered by Red Hawk, she facilitated a leadership workshop.

From Exercise to Implementation

Working through the same framework Red Hawk Technologies had facilitated, Taylor’s leadership team mapped their systems, identified pain points, and spotted a major opportunity: labor management. With multiple warehouses, a mix of in-house and temporary staff, and staffing agencies to coordinate, labor efficiency was both critical and complex.

Using Claude, Taylor built an integrated labor management dashboard that pulls data from their Warehouse Management System (WMS), staffing databases, and other systems. The result? Real operational intelligence.

“We were able to track who is super efficient with their time, where they’re spending time, whether it’s handling products or driving forklifts,” Noelle explained. “We could see that they’re spending a lot of time on one account versus another, and ask ourselves: Why is that? Where can we gain efficiency?”

The dashboard became interactive, putting visibility directly into the hands of operations managers. But Taylor didn’t stop there. They integrated customer forecasts into the system, enabling predictive planning for seasonal demand swings like the holiday rush.

The impact? Cost reduction, optimized headcount, and better decision-making across their entire operation.

The Bigger Picture

What makes Taylor’s story compelling isn’t just one good project. It’s proof that structured thinking about AI opportunities actually works. The workshop exercise gave a team from a mid-market logistics company the framework to identify, scope, and build a solution that directly impacts their bottom line.

“Once you start unlocking some value from tools like that, you just keep going,” Matt Strippelhoff, Partner, CEO/CRO noted.

Red Hawk offers facilitated AI Opportunity workshops and tech innovation workshops for organizations ready to explore how AI can solve real business challenges. If your team is thinking strategically about where AI fits in your 2027 roadmap, these sessions can be exactly what you need to move from “interesting idea” to “here’s what we’re building.”

“Red Hawk Technologies’ AI Opportunity Decision Matrix was one of my biggest takeaways from the Goering Center’s Sales & Customer Service AI Workshop. I brought the Matrix back to our senior leadership team at Taylor Logistics, and we worked through it together to identify where AI could have a meaningful impact on our business. One of the opportunities we uncovered was labor, and that conversation ultimately led us to combine AI with technologies we were already using to create our own labor management system. It has been incredibly rewarding to see an exercise from a workshop turn into something we are actually using in our operations. The Matrix gave us a practical way to stop asking, ‘How can we use AI?’ and instead focus on the real business challenges where AI can make a difference.”

Ready to Find Your AI Opportunity?

Taylor Logistics started exactly where many organizations do: curious about AI, but unsure where to focus. The decision matrix framework gave them clarity and a path forward.

If that resonates with you, here’s what’s possible:

Start with the DIY Download. If you want to explore on your own, our AI Opportunity Decision Matrix Rubric Download is available to help you and your team work through the same evaluation framework Taylor used. It’s built for independent exploration when you’re ready to think critically about where AI fits in your business.

Schedule a Free Workshop. We offer a free 1-hour facilitated AI Opportunity Workshop (subject to meeting qualification requirements) where you’ll experience the decision matrix exercise firsthand. It’s designed to generate real insights in a single session, whether you’re just starting to think about AI or ready to move into planning mode.

Go Deeper with Your Leadership Team. For organizations ready to span multiple departments and explore integration challenges, we offer longer, paid workshop sessions. These are ideal when you need to align cross-functional stakeholders, discuss feasibility, and plot a roadmap. We can help you evaluate whether the ideas your team lands on are truly achievable given your current systems and resources.

Build Your Prototype. Like Taylor, you might take what you learn and build a prototype using tools like Claude. It’s empowering, often faster than you’d expect, and gives you a real proof of concept to work with. If you don’t have an in-house software engineering team (which is the reality for most mid-market companies), Red Hawk can build that prototype for you. We’ll take your decision matrix insights and turn them into a clickable prototype, getting you to that proof of concept stage quickly and affordably so you can validate the idea before investing in full operationalization.

Let Red Hawk Help Operationalize Your Prototype. Once you’ve got a working prototype, that’s when the real transformation begins. Red Hawk specializes in taking proof-of-concept solutions and turning them into production-ready systems that scale. We handle the architecture, integration with your existing systems, security, performance optimization, and ongoing support. Think of us as your partner in turning innovation into operational reality. Whether your prototype needs a backend rewrite, better data integration, or a full production rollout, we’re equipped to help.

Let’s Talk. Not sure which path is right for you? We are open to a conversation. Whether you need a sounding board, want to explore what a custom workshop might look like, or are ready to discuss how we can help operationalize your next big idea, we’re here to help you unlock the innovation that’s waiting in your business.
